Vancouver Public Library works to reflect Vancouver’s great diversity in our programs and services and is committed to collaborating with our communities.
Almost every evening in the Central Library meeting rooms, stimulating and informative programs are offered that are developed by Library staff or in collaboration with community and arts groups, authors and publishers. Programs may also be offered at neighbourhood branches.
Non-profit groups and members of the creative community may request to hold a co-sponsored program with the Library by sending a proposal to programs@vpl.ca or by directly contacting a neighbourhood branch of choice. Proposed programs should reflect some of the following:
- Promote interest in reading, culture or information literacy.
- Promote awareness of contemporary issues, events and information.
- Provide entertaining, enjoyable and educational experiences.
